Emily Pope

Emily Pope is an artist living and working in Toronto. Her work focuses on pairing representations of her body with symbolic elements and settings, allowing for personal reflection through self-portraiture and still-life. Pope works with memory and experiences of disassociation to bring clarity to vague ethereal feelings. Although deeply personal, her work is meant to connect with others sharing the experience of having a female body and womanhood.
